Health
Visitors to Uganda are advised to have a yellow fever certificate. It is also advisable to drink bottled mineral water rather than tap water.
Money
Uganda’s currency unit is the Uganda Shilling (UGX) and it is in the denominations of 100, 200, 500 (coins) and 1,000, 2,000 10,000,20,000 and 50,000 (Notes). However, the US Dollar is traditionally the hard currency of preference. You can also exchange your hard currency cash for the local currency at the Banks and private bereaux de change. Credit cheques are not widely accepted especially out side Kampala.
People and Culture
Uganda is a multi-cultural Nation. It is composed of many regions each with different cultures. The recent restoration of Kingdoms, among the common tribes are Buganda, Too, Busoga and Bunyoro.
Traveler’s Insurance.
Visitors are advised to buy Travel Insurance before coming to Uganda or you can request to buy the local evacuation coverage for any medical emergency.
Booking confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed after an initial deposit of 30% of the total safari cost.
When to Visit.
You can visit Uganda any time though activities like Mountain hikes, Gorilla tracking, Chimpanzee trekking and other forest walks are more challenging during rain seasons. It peaks over mid September-November and March-May.
Cancellation/refund guidelines.
If a client has a complaint or refund query about any aspect of his/her safari, it should be reported immediately to our office. However, in case of cancellation, the office shall retain the following percentages upon cancellations.
0-8 days to safari-No refund.
9-45 days to Safari date- 75%( 25% refund to client)
46-90 days to safari date- 50%
91 days and above to Safari Date-25%( 75% refund to client)
